Dr. Larthenia Howard holds a bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of South Florida. She has a master’s in marriage and family therapy from Capella University, a master’s in education leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a doctorate in child & youth studies in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Howard is a certified practitioner in neurofeedback technology, working with clients who experience PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, behavior disruptions during adolescence, sleep disorders, migraines, and trauma. She is an Emotional Intelligence (EI) trainer, certified by the Institute for Emotional Intelligence Learning Systems and a Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner.
Dr. Howard is a two-time award-winning author and adjunct professor. She is also trained in Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotional Focus Individual Therapy (EFIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Black Mental Health Alliance (BMHA), the Space Coast Mental Health Counseling Association (SCMHCA), and Certified Coaches Federation (CCF).
A graduate of Christ Fellowship Bible Leadership College, Dr. Howard is passionate about creating relationshifts that promote mental health and wellness through a Biblical lens.
